Artists for Artists: Miami (A4A:MIA) Artists for Artists: Miami (A4A:MIA) is an open artist collective, independently founded in January of 2023 in order to build collective power, and to foster community and solidarity amongst artists in the Miami region. Since then, the group has become a haven for artists of all stripes to present and work collectively on the issues facing them today. A4A:MIA has since taken action on issues related to censorship, equitable pay structures, and arts data collection and proliferation with much more to come.
A4A:MIA aims to empower artists by advocating for their individual and mutual rights and interests. We work internally and directly with community and partner organizations to generate alternatives that bolster our needs and sever our dependency on institutions that refuse to engage in meaningful dialogue and action regarding our political reality.
At A4A:MIA, we honor the interconnectedness of all political struggles and commit to situate art at the intersection of communal liberation.
