January, 2023 – misael soto invites artists in their network to meet them at the Allapattah Branch Public Library. Unsure of what will come of the meeting, the group of 21 Miami artists highlights a few issues that will guide the group henceforth, such as the need for data related to artists struggles and needs.

May, 2023 – Work begins on the first-ever Miami Artist Census.

December, 2023 – Miami Artists for Ceasefire is formed and a letter is drafted to garner support and solidarity for artists working against the genocide in Gaza.

May, 2024 – Miami Arts Accountability is formed in response to the Censorship of a fellow artists work.

October, 2024 – The first-ever Miami Artist Census survey is launched.

November, 2024 – In the wake of the elections, member artists begin to discuss how the group can start to shift its work from a reactive to a more proactive model.
